Voxtop Apps refers to all the applications and service features that sit on top of our Springboard telephony. Voxtop Apps can interact and control the telephony such as with click to call or simply be complimentary to our service in the case of Instant Messaging.

Customers with our Springboard telephony service can add extra functionality to their service by selecting Voxtop Apps. This provides a way for a customer to tailor their service and only pay for what they need.

At the moment we are still in the process of completing the migration to Voxtop Apps for all parts of our service. When this process is complete we will be launch an App store model for self service and instant availability of the app.

When we first started to design our telephony service we add new features on top of our existing service by including them in our Coordinator application. This was all good at the beginning but as this process continued we made Coordinator bigger to the point that it started to become too complex, lost focus on it's original goals and became to unwieldy for our customers and development teams.

A complete re-think led us to begin the separation of our service functionality into two distinct layers, telephony and applications. Furthermore we started to break down the way we organise the application features into logical groupings around the concept of Apps. This would give us the ability to supply services with the core telephony at the heart and a selection of Apps that were specific to a customers' requirements that ran on top.
