Change the settings on Voxhub for iPhone

There are a number of settings that you can modify to improve the performance of Voxhub for iPhone on your network and for how you work.

The settings are divided up into groups to make them easier to navigate.

Accounts

  • Personal - xxxxx
  • Team - xxxxx
  • Messaging - xxxxx
  • Each of these has a circle to the left of it, either grey or green. Tapping the circle to the right with an i in it will take you into the specific settings for that account.

Personal - xxxxx and Team - xxxxx - The settings options are the same for both of these.

  • Account Status - Will display either Registered or Unregistered, depending on the current status you'll have the option to either Register or Unregister in green immediately beneath the status.
  • Account Name - You can tap here to rename the account if you wish.
  • Enabled - By changing this setting you can enable and disable the account.
  • USER DETAILS

  • Display as - This setting is not currently used by Voxtop for iPhone.
  • Dial Plan (Number Prefixes) - This setting is not currently used by Voxtop for iPhone.

Account Specific Features - These settings are preset by Voxtop for iPhone and should not be changed.

Messaging - xxxxx

  • Account Status - Will display either Connected or Disconnected, depending on the current status you'll have the option to either Connect or Disconnect
  • Account Name - You can tap here to rename the account if you wish.
  • Enabled - By changing this setting you can enable and disable the account.

Preferences

MOBILE DATA NETWORK

  • Use When Available - This setting allows calls and Messages to be sent over your Mobile data, when the network is available.

GENERAL

  • Run In Background - If you only wish to use Voxhub for iPhone to make calls and not to receive calls or messages then you can disable this setting, but otherwise you'd want to leave it enabled.

INCOMING CALL

  • Play Ringtone - Enable this to give allow an audible ringtone for calls. Enabled by default.
  • Vibrate - If enabled then the iPhone will vibrate for calls and messages. Enabled by default.
  • Alert Answer - Controls the behavior of the incoming call prompt (when the app is in the background). Enabled by default.
    • On - You can immediately answer the call from the prompt
    • Off - You can view the incoming call screen, and then choose either answer or decline the call.
  • Alert Missed - When enabled you will receive an alert for a missed call. Enabled by default.
  • Ringtone - Lets you select the ringtone for incoming calls, this can be different from your standard ringtone.

OUTGOING CALL

  • Default Account for History - This setting is disabled by default and should be left that way.

CALL IN PROGRESS

  • Background Image - Allows you to set an image to be displayed while you are on a call.
  • Contact Image - Gives options for if and how contact images are displayed, either:
    • Don't Show
    • Full Screen
    • Small Avatar

PHONE NUMBER

  • Single Touch To Call - When On, tapping a phone number on the Contacts or History tab will immediately make a call. However, if SMS and/or video is enabled on the account, you will get a prompt to choose call/sms/video. When Off, you will see a confirmation prompt. Enabled by default.
  • Show URI Domain - Turn this on to display phone numbers with the domain if this information is sent by the caller's service provider (for example, 1234@myVoipProvider.com). Disabled by default.

MESSAGING

  • Enable IM & Presence
  • Alert Sound
  • Alert Vibration
  • Private When Locked
  • Text Size
  • Alert Text Tone
  • These settings are all set automatically and cannot currently be changed

LOGIN CONTROL

  • Auto Login - When enabled the app will login as soon as it is started, if not enabled it will wait for you to tap Login

Advanced Settings

AUDIO CODECS SELECTION

  • Mobile Audio Codecs
  • Wi-Fi Audio Codecs
  • These settings are all set automatically and cannot currently be changed.

APPLICATION LOGGING

  • Verbose Logging - Leave this off unless requested by customer support to enable it.
  • Send Log - Tap the button to upload the current log to customer support. After the log is sent, a message appears with a reference number of the log. Send an email to customer support with:
    • The reference number.
    • The domain you are using, and
    • details of the problem you are having.
  • Call Statistics - Shows detailed information about the current/last call. For example, the number of packets lost.
