Voxhub provides instant messaging based on the open XMPP protocol for all users of Voxhub. Any XMPP client can be used but the majority of customers use the open source Spark client which is free to download.
When using Spark it is possible to link your existing messaging accounts from MSN, Yahoo, AOL, ICQ and Google together and use one messaging client.
Messaging can be used to great effect when combined with the telephone.

The presence information displays when a user is on the phone, therefore it is possible to message that person when you have a call waiting for them, 'I have Roger for you, shall I get him to hold or take a message'. Messages can be sent to offline users and they will receive them when they next logon, 'Please call Simon Templar on 0207xxxxxx when you can.'
Users get a pre-populated company contact list, plus they can easily combine contact lists from MSN and other services, meaning only one client for all messaging.
